How to Play.
Everything you need to know before your first round.
⚙️ Before You Start
1. Enter both player names on the setup screen
2. Choose which card categories you want to play
3. Pick how many rounds — 6 for a quick game, 10 for the full experience
4. Set your timer — 60 seconds for quick answers, 90 or 2 min for deeper ones
5. Have a notepad or dry erase board ready for each player
🎯 How Each Round Works

SPEAKER: Read the Card
The person named as Speaker reads the question out loud. Start the timer. Answer honestly while the timer runs. Take your full time.

LISTENER: Stay Silent & Write
Stay completely silent — no words, no reactions. Listen for the feeling behind what they're saying, not just the words. Write it back the way they'd want to hear it — not just the facts, but what it meant to them. The goal isn't to prove you listened. It's to make them feel heard.
💡 Instead of "you said you feel ignored" — try "it sounds like you've been feeling unseen, and that really hurts you."

LISTENER: Flip & Reveal
When the Speaker is done, tap the button to move to Listener phase. The Listener flips their notepad around and reads what they wrote. No changing it.

SPEAKER: Score It
Only the Speaker decides if the Listener got it right. Tap "HEARD ME" if they captured your meaning. Tap "NOT QUITE" if they missed something important.

IF "NOT QUITE": Have the Real Conversation
Don't skip this. The Speaker explains what they actually meant. Use the Dig Deeper questions to go further. This is the most important part of the game.

Switch Roles and Repeat
Tap NEXT CARD. Roles switch automatically — the Listener becomes the Speaker. Play continues until all rounds are done.

✅ Listener gets it right = +1 point for the Listener
✋ Someone interrupts = -1 point for the interrupter
😤 Someone gets mad = -1 point, automatic
🏆 Most points at the end = Winner picks 3 prizes
📋 House Rules
• No interrupting the Speaker — ever
• No reactions while the Speaker is talking
• The Listener writes BEFORE responding — no exceptions
• Getting mad or defensive = automatic point deduction
• Only the Speaker decides if the Listener got it right
• This is not a debate. You are not here to win an argument.
• If nobody wins or there is a dispute, use the 🎲 Random Draw button to let the game pick the winner fairly
• Whoever the draw lands on picks their 3 prizes and their partner commits to fulfilling them within 30 days
